Who do I call in order to rent a community center?
You would call the park district at (847) 297-3000 x 21
How much is it to rent the facility?
At Feldman, a $100 minimum deposit that is used to secure the multi-purpose room, $200 deposit to secure the gym and the hourly rate is based upon residency. At Dee Park, there is a $100 deposit to secure the gym and a $50 deposit to secure the rental rooms. All deposits are refundable if the renter complies with the rules. You can see more comprehensive information by clicking on the Parks and Facilities button and going to Rentals. Prices are subject to change so this document is not a final quote and may not be used.
What do I need to do in order to prove residency?
A driver's license or other picture I.D. is acceptable as long as it state's the party's address to prove residency.
How do I know if I am considered a resident?
This link will take you to a listing of all the streets within the Golf Maine Park District boundaries. This listing is updated every two years on the odd numbered year.
Is there someone present at the facility to help the day of the rental?
A Rental Supervisor will be available throughout the duration of the rental. They are scheduled for supervisory duties and to monitor the facility and make sure everything prearranged is provided. This includes setting up tables and chairs, opening & closing rental spaces, and answering general questions. If a more specific question arises, the Rental Supervisor is able to contact the Administrative Assistant, if necessary.
Is decorating allowed?
Renters may decorate but any permitted decorations must be removed by the renter without adversely affecting the facility. No nails are permitted in to be used in putting up decorations.
Is it possible to have a separate company cater food?
Yes. We do not use a special catering list so it is up to you.

How many people do the rooms accommodate?
Feldman:
Multi-Purpose Room – 135 max
Gymnasium - 562
Dee:
Dance Room 35 max
Gymnasium- 262
How many tables and chairs are available?
Feldman: 135 chairs and approximately 27 tables
Dee: 35 chairs and approximately 15 tables
What if I want to rent the gymnasium and need more chairs and/or tables?
You may rent additional equipment to use for your rentals but you need to make sure you arrange with the park district concerning delivery and storage prior to finalization.
What size and shape are the tables?
The tables are typically 6 foot rectangular tables.

Is setup and cleanup time included in the rental time frame?
At Feldman a half hour is given before the rental and a half hour is given after the rental. Any additional time needed must be paid for.
How long does it take to receive a refund for the rental deposit?
Refunds will be issued no later than fifteen (15) business days after the rental and after staff has had an opportunity to ensure all rules were followed and the facility was left in an appropriate condition.
What are the facility hours?
Facility hours fluctuate based on program and use schedules.
What is the latest we can rent the facilities?
You may rent Feldman until 1:00 am, although there is a $10/hr increase in price from 10 pm on. You may rent Dee until 10 pm.
Are the facilities available for rental on holidays?
The facilities are available for rental on some holidays but not the major ones, i.e., Christmas, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July.
When are the restrooms available?
Whenever the building is opened.
What food preparation amenities are available?
At Feldman, there is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, stove and range.
Which facilities have basketball rims in the parks and when are they available?
Both buildings have indoor rims. Dee Park has 2 outdoor courts available.
